Concentration risk is calculated with the Herfindahl-Hirschman Index (HHI), the same measure competition authorities use: HHI = sum of each supplier's % share of total order quantity, squared. Below 1500 is considered low concentration, 1500–2500 moderate, and above 2500 high.
